Ranging from 2.5 tonnes, our mini-diggers are perfect for working in confined or restrictive spaces. Whether for trenching, landscaping or loading, our fleet of mini’s are perfect for your home and business projects.
For a list of all of our available mini-diggers and other plant, please contact Anna by email anna@grplant.co.uk
Our smallest machine is the Takeuchi TB325R weighing just 2.5 tonnes. Its compact size makes it ideal for sites with limited space, with the added benefit that it’s safe and easy to transport between sites on a trailer.
The TB325R’s short tail-swing radius of 825mm allows it to work close to building walls without risk of damage. The machine’s optimised boom and arm design can achieve a dig depth of up to 2540mm and a ground reach of 4350mm. Small but mighty some might say!
It’s not unusual for us to use a variety of equipment, tailored to each project. Lee Valley Velopark was a special project however, where we solely used mini-diggers to build 8km of mountain bike trails. Located within Stratford’s famous Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Lee Valley Velopark is a cyclist’s dream with MTB, BMX, road, and track all in one place. It even hosted the track cycling competition for the London 2012 Games!
Using a range of mini-diggers from 1.5-3 tonnes, we created an exciting mountain bike trail for a wide range of abilities. This meant the site experienced minimal disruption during the construction phase whilst allowing our team to execute precise stone-placing, trail excavations and more.
One of the more recent additions to our fleet is the JCB 35-26D Stage V Teletruk, the world’s only telescopic counterbalance forklift. The combination of its unique telescopic boom, single side loading and small turning circle optimises efficiency in confined spaces, whether that’s loading containers, stacking logs or even moving loose aggregates.
The 35-26D’s four wheel drive capabilities deliver 4 tonnes of traction to support bucket work and travelling over rough ground or gradients. Replacing the fork attachment with a bucket allows you to move loose aggregates and load trailers.
If this sounds like something your project could use, get in touch with Anna today by emailing anna@grplant.co.uk
The versality of a mini-diggers comes from its small size, allowing it to be used in a range of environments from your front garden to a construction site.
If you’re considering a garden renovation, you might look to a mini-digger for your landscaping needs. From grading land to removing stumps and digging ponds, mini-diggers are the perfect solution without having to worry about whether they’ll fit down the driveway.
